My mom and I decided to take a cake decorating class at Michael's. We were inspired by my grandmother, Joyce Smith to continue her legacy in cake baking. We started taking our class in June of 08 and finished up in August. This was one of our first cakes. We used our White Cake recipe and buttercream icing. The flowers and bird are completely eatable and made from Royal Icing.
